At the meeting last night we discussed the next SAR training. Everyone wanted to do a mock search, so that’s what we will do!
We have had Saturday, August 2nd reserved for a training since May, so let’s do it then. I will announce the location as soon as we can book a place. If we can get the right place, we may be able to start Friday night and camp. My thoughts are;
Let’s start by setting up our field command center equipment with the builders explaining how to properly do it.
Then, if meteorologist Julia can make it, we’ll ask her to give us a detailed look into using our latest weather gear and software.
Then we will have a hearty lunch that will lead into a full scale mock search.
We want to include our field teams, canine, and equestrians. We will also need our support staff. Everyone seeing this is invited! I will ask that each of you let me know if you are planning to attend so that I can have plenty of good food available!
This could be the largest and best event we’ve ever held! I’m listening to all suggestions. Tom
