Tyler OEM/CERT/SAR Events

September

2^nd Labor Day Parade in Paden City – Noon

All CERT/SAR members are welcome to participate in the parade. This includes equestrian and canine members!

3^rd Tyler County School Cross Country Run – 3:30pm

We have been asked to provide emergency communications for the school’s cross country race. Much of this is along the wooded trail.

5^th LEPC meeting at the Sistersville VFD – 9pm

All local responders, business and government agencies are invited to the Local Emergency Planning Committee meeting. Breakfast is served at 9am sharp.

5^th OEM/CERT/SAR meeting at the Middlebourne office – 7pm

This meeting is for all volunteers as well as any interested visitors.

6^th, 7^th, 8^th at Camp Virgil Tate in Charleston – SAR training

This is the Homeland Security 2013 annual search and rescue exercise/training.

12^th Pipeline Safety Awareness Dinner/training – 5:30pm

17^th, 18^th, 19^th at Chief Logan SP – FEMA PA Eligibility L371 training

This is a reimbursable FEMA training dealing with the Public Assistance program.

22^nd SAR Training at the Momentive Family Park– 1pm

This will be a FUNSAR refresher in preparation for the SAR Tech II field test.
