September Training
August 30, 2011September is National Preparedness Month!
August 31, 2011Several of our volunteers have asked for more radios. They are dual band covering all of our standard frequencies. They also cover the ham, NOAA weather, marine and most other popular frequencies. They DO NOT cover “low band” or the P25 IRP channels (they would cost $5,600 each if they did). They will make good pocket scanners. I had the dealer prepare these radios each with a spare hi-capacity battery, speaker mike and 12volt car charger. Since we bought 60 of them earlier, the dealer will gave them to us for $136 each plus $4 shipping. If you would like to purchase one of these radios, simply make a check out to the Tyler County Commission for $140 and send it to me. Be sure to check them out on the dealer’s website. http://www.totalradioservice.com/dualbandht.htm
For those of you who have radios, I am also ordering accessories. Look in the back of your manual or on the website and let me know what you want.
