Storm Spotter Training Went Well

I beleive the first Storm Spotter class went very well. As we discussed in the class it was a look at the science behind the weather. We had an awesome turnout of 38 participants.

I’ll be working with Dylan and the NWS to get the second class set up as soon as possible. In the next class we hope to get into the actual gathering of data to write a weather briefing. We will be gathering the data, not creating or calculating it, that’s the NWS’s job! We hope to have handouts to help with the understanding of the subject.

I want to thank everyone who participated in the training. I especially want to thank Dylan for doing a FANTASTIC job of putting together and presenting the material!
