August 25, 2017Team, September is going to be a month of fun opportunities for our volunteers! PLEASE mark your calendar.
Monday Sept 4 – We’ve been asked to be part of the 69th Paden City Labor Day Parade. We will include some of our equipment in the parade. We would like to invite our SAR team, carnine handlers and equestrians to participate.
Tuesday Sept 5 – Tyler Consolidated Cross Country Race. As in the past several years we have been asked to provide communications for this event. We hope to utilize the new mobile command trailer as a communications center. We will need around 8 volunteers to help with this event. Our people will be positioned in the woods around the course reporting any problems via radio.
Saturday Sept 9 – Heroes Day. We’ve been asked to bring our search and rescue team and all the equipment we can to this memorial for the fallen responders of 9/11.
Sunday Sept 10 – We will have our monthly SAR training/exercise at the Momentive Employee Park. We are planning an exercise that will utilize our mobile command trailer as a base to operate a mock search. All team members are encouraged to attend.
Thursday Sept 14 – We will be showcasing Project Lifesaver at the Genesis Health Fair
Saturday Sept 30 – The DNR will be in town to conduct a Boaters Safety Course.
