We will be training this coming Saturday, January 28th at the Sistersville fire station. We will start at 10am.
The day starts with a brief session on dressing and responding during cold weather events. Mike K will lead this discussion.
Next, Don W will be going over emergency communications. This discussion will cover how we properly pass information over public service and ham radio.
Al T will be going over the operations of our newest mapping software. And then I’ll go over the team software that we are developing. Everyone will have a roll in this new system. Anyone planning to help out in the command post should plan to attend.
We will also be discussing our new equipment.
Somewhere in between the classes we’ll have a lunch break. The menu will consist of homemade chili and sandwiches.
If we have time we will review the map, compass and grid reader.
If you are a SAR responder or support for the search team you will benefit from this training.
I hope to see you there.
