Air EVAC LifeTeam Meeting
June 20, 2011SAR Training Went Well
June 29, 2011Everything is a go for this Saturday’s SAR training. We will start at 10am at Camp Copperhead as previously announced. We’ll have lunch around 1pm. The NWS says “Partly sunny, with a high near 81” for Saturday.
The second order of radios has arrived. I have enough for everyone who has asked for one. The price is $138. There may be a couple of extras. So, for the very first part of the training we’ll issue the new radios and briefly go over them, mostly answering questions and working as a group to explain the basics. Don W. and I are planning a training session for the operation of the radios as well as the ham radio class that we promised. Don has a youth camp coming up in July that will take up at least two of his weekends, so things are moving slower than we had hoped for. We wanted to do it this weekend but he has a planning meeting that he must attend. We will also pick a new date for the Project Lifesaver training.
We’ve purchased 50 new SAR hats for the team. Each member that attends will receive a hat. When these are gone I’ll order more.
See you Saturday,
Tom
