Our OEM, CERT, SAR meeting is this Thursday September 3rd at our office in Middlebourne starting at 7pm.
The LEPC meeting is the same day and place starting at 9am.
We have been asked to support Heroes Day in Sistersville. It will start with a parade on September 12th. They’ve asked us to bring as many trailers with as much equipment as possible. They would also like our canine and equine to be in the parade. I will send out more details as they come in.
For the past few years we have helped provide communications for the Tyler Knights cross country race. Our folks go out around the course with radios and provide communications between the runners and the staff. It has proven beneficial to the schools and runners. It is also a good Comms training for us. The first event is September 8th and the second is October 15th at the Tyler Consolidated parking lot. They have asked us to arrive around 3pm. We need around 10 volunteers to do this. It’s been a lot of fun in the past.
The WV SAR Exercise is scheduled for October 23rd and 24th at North Bend State Park. Details will be out later.
