November Training Update

Directly after the November field training (see below) our canine handlers will travel a few miles south to Bev’s farm and do some canine specific training. Everyone is welcome to come and check out this future training area. The area has great potential for all types of training. I would like to ask our equestrian members to check out the area.

We plan to meet at 10:00am Saturday, November 4th at the Momentive Employee Park. (Call or email for directions)

Dr. Sarah Frances McClure will be presenting: Drowning Management and Prevention. Then we will go over the use of our Sked Rescue System. After this we will be training on using the GPS in the field. Then we will go over field communications. This will lead us into a field exercise that will include sending teams out to find hidden clues using GPS coordinates. We will use this exercise as an opportunity to learn to properly use the GPS and radios both at base and in the field. You will receive hands-on instructions and cheat sheets for each activity.
