Monongalia County Body Found

According to WDTV Channel 5;
The body of 79-year-old Laurence H. Nichol, a Monongalia County man with Alzheimer’s who had been missing for about four days, has been found.
 
Searchers discovered his body around 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening, in a wooded area near Sun Valley Townhomes in the Cheat Lake area of Monongalia County.
 
Nichol had been reported missing by his family Tuesday evening. A massive air and ground search was conducted over the past several days by numerous volunteers and several search and rescue teams.
 
Nichol’s body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department and the Office of Emergency Management would like to thank all of the citizens and agencies who volunteered to assist in the search.
