May 22, 2011A dozen Tyler CERT/SAR team members participated in the Wood Country Family Safety Day today. It was a wonderful day for the event. We handed out 12 dozen freezey-pops and several tote bags full of information. The crowd especially enjoyed the K9 and equines.
It was a great oppertunity for networking! We worked with our friends from Wood County OEM/911, Large Animal Rescue, Threat Preparedness, WC Emergency Communications and Mountain State Wilderness SAR. We had many inquires about joining our SAR teams. Hopefully we’ll get some new recruits.
