June 23, 2011There will be a public meeting at the Sistersville Fire Station Tuesday, June 28th at 7pm about the Air EVAC Lifeteam membership.
This program allows folks to sign up with Air EVAC at a minimal fee to receive emergency helicopter transport at no direct expense to the patient. The fees are $50 for one person per year, $55 for a couple per year and $60 per family per year. There will be a discount for some credit union members and other civic organizations.
With this program, if you or your family member needs an emergency lifeflight, Air EVAC would acccept the amount paid by your insurance and you would receive no additional bill. The usual fees are from $17,000 to $21,000 per flight.
