March 1, 2016Storm Spotter Training Went Well

This is a reminder about the Saturday, March 12 Storm Spotter class. The training will start at 10:00am downstairs in the Middlebourne Senior Center.
This will be the first in a series of advanced weather classes developed by the National Weather Service (NWS) and Emergency Management to teach volunteers how to prepare weather briefings for an incident. Students will learn how to monitor available weather data and work with the NWS in order to protect responders and citizens of potential dangers. We are working on this project with WV Northern Community College and plan to give adult continuing education hours and certificates.
