Bike for a Cure Registration

Bike for a Cure is an open event for competitors and community members alike. The ride is primarily on a level surface composed of tamped gravel and is accessible to beginner riders.

Please complete this registration form to participate in the Bike for a Cure Fundraiser to benefit Wood County Relay for Life. There is a registration fee of $25.00 per participant that is payable by a check made out to Kristine Green/Relay for Life. Forms should be mailed or delivered to Kristine Green. Forms are due back no later than April 1, 2011 to participate. The registration fee includes lunch, water during the ride, a racer/rider number, and a Bike for a Cure Tshirt. Bike for a Cure will commence RAIN OR SHINE on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 9:00 AM on the North Bend Rail Trail from WVU-P to the Walker Tunnel and back (approximately 28 miles round trip). Bike for a Cure is an open event for competitors and community members alike. The ride is primarily on a level surface composed of tamped gravel and is accessible to beginner riders. Compete for a chance to win a prize by finishing in the top 10 or compete to be one of the top 3 participants/teams to raise the most money. All donations will benefit the Wood County Relay for Life and includes teams registered with Relay for Life. Donations for participants who raise money for Wood County Relay for Life that are not part of a team will be split amongst the teams that are registered. This event will be monitored by a central command center that is equipped with emergency response capabilities. Water will be provided along the trail and bathrooms will be provided. Please remember to utilize trash cans on the trail to preserve this natural and scenic community asset. Stations will be set up along the trail to provide water and communications for emergency use. There will be an awards ceremony following the race/ride. Please complete the following form and return it with your registration fee no later than April 1, 2011. Racers will be starting 5 minutes before casual participants, so please indicate your preference. Please be at the event and ready to race promptly at 9:00 AM. There will be a short briefing prior to the race.
